What is the Tru-Immune Test?
Tru-Immune™ by Ethos Laboratories shows your individual level of protection and your body’s current ability to fight off COVID-19. This test provides personalized information that has not been available before. ARCpoint Labs is partnering with Ethos Laboratories to be the first to make this test readily available for consumers in the U.S. This unique test detects the neutralization of SARS-CoV-2 and gives a current snapshot of how effective your immune system is at fighting the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
Viral Neuralization Testing (VNT) is considered the gold standard in assessing immunity to viruses and has been applied, in this case, through a surrogate process (sVNT) to assist in identifying those members of the population who are protected from COVID-19 and the current strength of that protection.

What does this test measure?
he Tru-Immune™ lab test measures the neutralizing capacity of your antibodies against the SARS-CoV-2 virus, and quantifies it on a scale of 0-100%. The test detects the presence (or absence) of COVID-19 neutralizing antibodies in a sample of your blood, and also measures how effective your antibodies are at inhibiting the COVID-19 virus.
What do the test results mean?
A test result of 0% indicates that no viral activity was neutralized.
A result of 20-100 indicates that you have protective immunity.1 The % inhibition is an indication of both the quantity and quality of your neutralizing antibodies.
Results are based on your body’s effectiveness at inhibiting the COVID-19 virus in your blood. Currently, it is not known if or at what rate these neutralizing antibodies, and any protective immunity resulting from them, may decrease over time.
Why is this new test different?
Until now, COVID-19 antibody tests have been useful for detecting the presence of binding antibodies, such as IgG or IgM, that may help determine the likelihood of past exposure to coronaviruses.
The new Tru-ImmuneTM test not only detects the current presence of neutralizing antibodies, but provides quantitative data on how effective those antibodies are at preventing the virus from infecting healthy cells.
