HPV (Human Papillomavirus) Testing:

Herpes Testing:

Herpes is a viral infection caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV). It is characterized by the development of painful blisters or sores in the genital area or around the mouth. Herpes is a lifelong infection, and while there is no cure, antiviral medications can help manage outbreaks and reduce transmission risk.

Gonorrhea Testing:

Gonorrhea is a bacterial infection caused by the Neisseria gonorrhoeae bacterium. It can affect the genital tract, rectum, and throat. Symptoms may include pain during urination, abnormal discharge, and in some cases, no symptoms at all. If left untreated, gonorrhea can lead to serious complications such as pelvic inflammatory disease (PID).

Chlamydia Testing:

Chlamydia is a common bacterial infection caused by the bacterium Chlamydia trachomatis. It can infect the genital tract, rectum, and throat. Most people with chlamydia do not experience symptoms, but if left untreated, it can lead to complications such as pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) and infertility.

Syphilis Testing:

Syphilis is a bacterial infection caused by the Treponema pallidum bacterium. It progresses in stages and can cause various symptoms, including sores (chancres), rash, fever, and in later stages, serious complications affecting the heart, brain, and other organs. Syphilis can be cured with antibiotics if detected and treated early.

HIV/AIDS Testing:

HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is a virus that attacks the immune system, gradually weakening it and making the person vulnerable to infections and diseases. AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome) is the final stage of HIV infection, characterized by severe immune system damage and the onset of opportunistic infections. HIV/AIDS is transmitted through contact with infected blood, semen, vaginal fluids, or breast milk.

Trichomoniasis Testing:

Trichomoniasis is a common sexually transmitted infection caused by the parasite Trichomonas vaginalis. It can affect the genital tract in both men and women, leading to symptoms such as itching, burning, and abnormal discharge. Trichomoniasis can be treated and cured with prescription medications.

Hepatitis C Testing:

Hepatitis C is a viral infection that primarily affects the liver. It is transmitted through contact with infected blood, such as through sharing needles or other drug paraphernalia. Hepatitis C can cause both acute and chronic liver disease, and if left untreated, it can lead to liver cirrhosis, liver cancer, or liver failure. Antiviral medications can effectively treat hepatitis C and cure the infection in many cases.
