Why did you open a drug and alcohol testing facility?
I’ve really enjoyed working with local Employers in Edina, Bloomington, Richfield, and Minneapolis over the past 20 years of my professional life. There are a lot of great business leaders in our community that have worked extremely hard to create an abundance of successful companies. Opening ARCpoint Labs of Edina has given me a platform to parnter with these local employers, and help them protect the businesses they’ve worked so hard to created. We dp this by providing an innovative employee screening solution (durg testing & background checks), and by helping them manage a compliant workplace drug & alcohol policy. We are passionate about customer service – no 800 #’s or auto attendants at our lab.
What was your background? How many years?
I’ve worked in Healthcare for the past 12 years with my time split between Boston Scientific and Intuitive Surgical – both incredible companies. I worked primarily in surgery training physicians and operating room staff on new surgical equipment. I think I’ve spent time in just about every single hospital operating room in MN, Western WI, and North Dakota. We are lucky to have many great Healthcare options in the Twin Cities. That being said, I’m very excited to be able to play a real tangible role in reducing healthcare costs to consumers by providing extremely affordable lab work (blood work) to cash paying (or FSA, HSA) patients.
Other community involvement? Organizations?
I’m a lifelong Minnesotan who has lived in Minneapolis for the past 25 years. I enjoy spending time with the Edina and Richfield Chamber of Commerces, and getting involved with a variety of their events. I enjoy coaching youth sports (and attempting to play some still myself), and I’m also very passionate about partnering with some of the local schools, parents groups, etc. on drug education and prevention. The opiod crisis is real, and we all need to get involved to give our kids the best chance for a drug free life!
