FRAT® Testing in Las Vegas

Folate Receptor Autoantibody Test

Has your doctor ordered a FRAT® test for you or your child?
ARCpoint Labs of Las Vegas provides the specialized blood draw and specimen
collection for this test.

What Is
FRAT®?
FRAT® (Folate Receptor Autoantibody Test) is a specialized
blood test that detects folate receptor alpha (FRα) autoantibodies. Your doctor may order this test when evaluating certain neurological,
developmental, or folate-transport concerns.
FRAT® does not diagnose autism or another condition by
itself. Your healthcare provider will interpret the results.

How Does It
Work?

1. Your
Doctor Orders the Kit –
Your doctor
determines whether FRAT® testing is appropriate and orders the test kit for
you.

2. Your
Doctor Gives You the Kit-
Your
doctor’s office provides you with the FRAT® collection kit and paperwork.

3. Bring
the Kit to ARCpoint-
Bring your
complete kit and paperwork to ARCpoint Labs of Las Vegas.

4. We Draw
Your Blood-
Our staff performs the specialized
blood draw and specimen collection
required for the FRAT® test.

5. We Ship
It for Testing-
We properly prepare and ship your
specimen to the designated specialty laboratory for testing.

6. Your
Doctor Gets the Results-
The testing
laboratory sends the results to your ordering healthcare provider, who will
explain what they mean.
