Tru-Immune™ Testing

Assess Your Ability to Fight off COVID-19

Are you curious to know how effective your body is at fighting off COVID-19? ARCpoint Labs can help you better understand how you might react to the virus if you become infected. We offer Tru-Immune™ testing, which is an sVNT (serum viral neutralizing test) that measures the activity of the neutralizing antibodies to SARS-CoV-2. Simply put, this test will reveal how well your immune system can respond to the virus.

This type of testing has been used in the past to evaluate the effectiveness of other vaccines. It gives a glimpse into how protected from an infection a person is at any given time. It requires a simple blood draw at our lab, where the sample will then be sent to one of our lab partners.

What Does This Test Measure?

Using a small sample of your blood, the Tru-Immune™ test will measure the neutralizing antibodies, which are responsible for preventing infection in a person. The results are presented as a percentage between 0 and 100. Here is what the results will mean:

0% - 19%

If your result is less than 20%, your blood sample did not show any evidence of neutralizing antibody activity at the time your blood was drawn. This means that you may be more susceptible to infection and should take all precautionary measures to protect yourself and others.

A result under 20% does not mean that you did not have an infection but may indicate that your body did not mount an adaptive response against it because of various underlying health considerations.

20% - 100%

If your result is in this range, this means that your sample had measurable viral neutralization at the time of testing. This could be due to the presence of antibodies or other immune cells. Unfortunately, at this time, we do not know how much protection you will have against future infection – or how long this protection would last.

It’s important to note that it can take days or even weeks for antibodies to develop after you have been infected with COVID-19, and they may remain in your blood for several weeks after you have recovered.
