We provide Coast Guard-compliant drug testing required for Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) applications and safety-sensitive maritime positions. This test is a DOT-regulated 5-panel urine drug test, performed in accordance with federal guidelines and processed by a SAMHSA-certified laboratory.
What This Test Includes

Why This Test Is Different
Unlike standard or instant drug screens, this test follows strict Department of Transportation (DOT) protocols, including:
- Secure chain-of-custody procedures
- Laboratory analysis by certified facilities
- Review and verification by a Medical Review Officer (MRO)
Only DOT-regulated tests are accepted by the U.S. Coast Guard. Instant or non-DOT tests are not valid for MMC applications.
Documentation & Requirements
- Results are reported on the CG-719P Periodic Drug Testing Form
- Must be completed within 185 days of your application
- Requires official MRO signature for acceptance
