Drug-Facilitated Assault
(Date Rape) Testing Panel
Forensic Urine Testing:
If you believe
you may have been drugged, sexually assaulted, or unknowingly given a drug,
this comprehensive forensic panel screens for many of the substances commonly
used in drug-facilitated crimes, as well as prescription medications, illicit
drugs, alcohol, and sedatives.
Recommendation: Whenever possible, collect BOTH blood
and urine.
Using both
specimens provides the highest likelihood of detecting substances used in
drug-facilitated crimes.
-
Blood is best for documenting recent
ingestion and impairment. -
Urine extends the detection window after drugs
have left the bloodstream. -
Together, they provide the most comprehensive
forensic evaluation and maximize the chance of identifying drugs that
may have been used.
Urine Test :
- Best if more time has passed after the suspected
incident. - Urine typically has a longer detection window,
allowing many drugs and their metabolites to be detected hours to several days
after exposure, even after they are no longer present in the blood. - Ideal collection: Within the first 24–96 hours,
although some drugs remain detectable even longer.
Average Turnaround Time: Approximately
15 days
(90% of results were reported within 21
days).
